Kenya Wilderness and Beach

Day 1 – Nairobi, 1 night Norfolk Hotel. BB
On arrival in Nairobi, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2, 3, 4 – Lewa Downs Conservancy, 3 nights Lewa Safari Lodge. FI
Transfer to Wilson airport to connect with 0915hrs Air Kenya scheduled service to Kenya´s semi arid northern regions to the private Lewa Downs Conservancy one of East Africa´s most successful breeding sanctuaries for endangered Black and White Rhino. You will check in at the Lewa Safari Lodge, set on the 45,000 acre privately owned Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Lewa Downs. Situated against the dramatic backdrop of the snow-covered massif of Mt Kenya and with the magnificent Northern Frontier District stretching out to the North.
Activities include day and night game drives, bush walks, with optional camel treks and horseback rides on the ranch. After some time to settle in you’ll have lunch and time to relax or take a swim in the pool before departing on your afternoon game drive around the camp.

Day 5 to 8 – Maasai Mara Reserve, 4 nights Kichwa Tembo Camp. FB
Transfer to the airstrip to connect with a scheduled flight to Maasai Mara. Upon arrival transfer into the luxurious Kichwa Tembo Camp, nestles below the Oloololo Escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, affording spectacular views of the Masai Mara’s game-filled plains.
Explore the Masai Mara’s Big Five territory on morning and afternoon game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles. Hot-air balloon rides, spectacular bush breakfasts or dinners, interpretive bush walks and night game-drives make for an unforgettable safari, and may be arranged at an additional cost.

Day 9 to 13 – Malindi, 5 nights Hemingways Resort. HB
Depart from the Mara on a scheduled flight back to Wilson Airport where you will be met by a vehicle, which will take you on to the famous Carnivore Restaurant for lunch. After lunch you will be transferred back to Wilson Airport to take the 1715hrs flight to Malindi for your stay at Hemmingway’s. The resort overlooks the stunning beach of Watamu Marine Park and the ambience of the hotel is of relaxed sophistication, with the friendliness of a privately owned hotel coupled with the facilities and standards of an international resort.
When not out to sea, there is plenty to do at the coast; you could try your hand at wind-surfing, take a trip to the snake park or the Gede Ruins which is the remains of a 13th century Swahili settlement that was inexplicably abandoned in the 17th century. With its two swimming pools and great cocktail bars, you could spend the day simply relaxing by the pool with a good book and cool drink at hand. The hotel also has a gymnasium and tennis and squash courts located on the resorts property.

Day 14 – Departure
On your final morning, you have time for a leisurely breakfast and last stroll on the beach before you pack up to start your journey home. You fly back to Nairobi in the afternoon. Your driver will meet you to bring you to The Talisman Restaurant for dinner (own account). After dinner you head to the airport to catch your international connection home.
